Borussia Dortmund head coach Thomas Tuchel revealed his slight disappointment at his team’s failure to keep a clean sheet against Johor Darul Ta’zim (JDT).
Despite scoring six goals against the Southern Tigers at the Larkin Stadium, Dortmund were unable to end their 2015 Asian Tour with a clean sheet, as the home side netted a consolation in the 39th minute.
The consolation was scored by Gary Steven Robbat, who previously trained with their reserve team.
Speaking after the game, Tuchel was happy with the win but wished his side could’ve defended better.
“[Regardless of the margin of the victory] you will always be disappointed if you cannot keep a clean sheet,” he said.
“We had shoutouts in our first three pre-season matches and wanted it continue in Malaysia, but it was not meant to be.
The opponents scored a wonderful goal against us and probably deserved it.
“It is always a challenge to have a shutout, so we have to work hard to ensure that we do better in our next match.”
