Super League outfit PKNS have decided to 'rest' their head coach Wan Jamak Wan Hassan after a run of poor results in the league.
His assistant coach, Anuar Abu Bakar was appointed as the interim coach to manage the team with immediate effect.
PKNS President Siti Zubaidah Abd Jabar said the decision was made unanimously by the club's exco members during an emergency meeting held Tuesday.
"We believe Anuar can shoulder the responsibility and improve the performance of the team to ensure the team's place in the Super League next season," she said in a statement.
The first task for Anuar would be to restore some pride when facing Perak at the Shah Alam Stadium on Tuesday.
PKNS have failed to win any league matches since March 22 and are currently languishing at the bottom of the league table with 14 points from 17 matches.comments
