Zola: Chelsea will be beaten
The Blues are currently unbeaten in all competitions so far this season, with Schalke 04 being the latest team to fall to Jose Mourinho's men in a 5-0 UEFA Champions League defeat.
They are also six points ahead of their nearest rivals, Southampon, in the Premier League after winning 10 and drawing two of their 12 matches so far.
However, Zola believes Chelsea will definitely fall at some point of the season.
“I don’t think it [going an entire season unbeaten] is the main target for Jose Mourinho or the club,” he told FourFourTwo during Carlsberg’s Ultimate Football Retreat event at AVANI Sepang Gold Coast in Malaysia.
“The Premier League is a very difficult league and can be long and tiring, so it will be difficult for them to remain unbeaten for the entire season.
“However, having said that, I still think they are looking very strong and complete.
“The team is performing really well because they are playing as a team rather than relying on one or two individuals.
“Manchester City, Manchester United, Arsenal and the rest of the league have to raise their game and play better than they do now if they want to beat Chelsea.”
