Al Ahli reign again in Egypt

CAIRO - Al Ahli won a fifth successive Egyptian premier league title by beating Ismaili 1-0 in a playoff for the title in Cairo on Sunday. Angola international Flavio scored the only goal of the match, forced after both teams finished level at the top of the standings. Flavio's goal came after just five minutes with a trademark header from a free kick delivered by his compatriot Gilberto. Ismaili came closest to equalising when Mohamed Homos struck the bar with a shot in the 25th minute. The match was the last at home for Al Ahli's Portuguese coach Manuel Jose, who has won 19 league and cup competitions in five years at the club. Jose is taking over as Angola coach next month.
