Angola sack national team coach

LUANDA - Angola coach Mabi de Almeida has been sacked after failing to win a single match in the build-up to the African Nations Cup which the country is hosting next year, the Angolan Football Association said on Friday.

Deputy coach Zeca Amaral will take over as coach temporarily, FA chief Justino Fernandes told a news conference in Luanda.

Fernandes said the FA was looking for a new coach but did not provide details. Local media have linked former Brazil and Portugal coach Luiz Felipe Scolari with the job.
