Argentina: Threats painted on players' cars

BUENOS AIRES - Players at Argentine first division side Godoy Cruz found threats painted on the windows of their cars on Thursday after their third successive defeat led to the sacking of coach Diego Cocca, local media reported.

"You got the coach sacked to go on partying. Win or you'll get it," the threats said.

Godoy Cruz, from the Andean province of Mendoza in the west of Argentina, are 15th in the Apertura championship table with 10 points from 12 matches and have not won in seven.

Cocca was sacked on Monday after Godoy Cruz lost 2-0 away to Velez Sarsfield.
