Arsenal eye up Assulin
Cesc Fabregas and Fran Merida were both products of the Barcelona academy who made the switch to North London, and Gunners' boss Arsene Wenger is thought to be keen to add the Israeli winger to that list.
The 18-year-old is one of the most highly-rated youngsters on the European scene and made his full debut for the Catalans in the Copa del Rey at the end of last month.
His inclusion in the first-team was reward for a host of eye-catching performances in Barca’s reserves after netting nine times in 24 outings during the 2007/08 campaign.
Assulin has three years remaining on his contract at the Camp Nou, but has continually been linked with a number of high-profile European clubs.
This includes Arsenal’s local rivals, Chelsea, who failed to lure the winger to Stamford Bridge back in 2007.
