Arsenal forward Andrei Arshavin has confirmed that he will not be fit enough to feature in the Gunners' Champions League last 16 first-leg against Porto next week.
The diminutive Russian playmaker sustained a recurrence of a hamstring problem during the midweek win against Liverpool at Emirates Stadium.
And although Arsene Wenger's side do not have a match this weekend having been eliminated from the FA Cup, Arshavin has revealed that he will sit out the trip to Portugal next Wednesday, but hopes to return in time for Arsenal's Premier League meeting with Sunderland on February 20.
"If all goes well, I get back on the pitch as early as the next Premier League match against Sunderland," he told Sport Express.
"However, the next game against Porto in the Champions League I will miss."
Wenger may also be without the services of defensive midfielder Alex Song, who has a knee problem, while long-term absentee Robin van Persie remains sidelined.
However, Croatian international Eduardo is expected to play against the Dragons.comments
