WASHINGTON - David Beckham is likely to be fit for AC Milan's Serie A game at Siena on Sunday despite injuring his ankle in training.
"It's not too bad," the England midfielder told NBC's Today show on Wednesday. "I twisted it yesterday but I've had a lot of treatment.
"I was actually running on the sand this morning. I still won't train for the next day or two but it should be okay for the weekend."
Beckham announced on Sunday he would be staying on loan at Milan until the end of the season before returning to play for Los Angeles Galaxy.
Milan are third in Serie A, 12 points behind leaders and city rivals Inter.
