Bochum beat Berlin to bag first win

BERLIN - VfL Bochum recorded their first win of the season on Sunday, beating Hertha Berlin 1-0 with a goal from Anthar Yahia. Algerian Yahia grabbed the winner two minutes after the restart with a shot from the edge of the box after a freekick from Joel Epalle. Hertha missed several chances to equalise in the second half but, as in every match this season, were lacking precision. Bayern Munich slumped to 13th place in the league following their 2-1 defeat by promoted Mainz on Saturday. Champions VfL Wolfsburg take on Hamburg SV later on Sunday and could again go top of the table with their third straight win ahead of Bayer Leverkusen, who moved top after demolishing Freiburg 5-0 on Saturday.
