Bullard set for another spell on sidelines

Hull City playmaker Jimmy Bullard could face more time on the sidelines after picking up another injury during the Premier League match at Aston Villa on Saturday.

The 31-year-old, who won the November league player of the month award after inspiring lowly Hull to a four-match unbeaten run, has been jinxed by knee injuries in recent years.

The midfielder left the field in tears to a rousing reception at Villa Park after 19 minutes following a challenge with James Milner.

Bullard, who joined Hull for a club record 5 million pounds in January, lasted just 37 minutes in his first season after suffering ligament damage and only recently regained fitness in this campaign.
