BERLIN - Bayern Munich, missing several key players through injury, drew 1-1 away to Hoffenheim in their Bundesliga opener on Saturday. Bayern, without injured playmaker Franck Ribery, strikers Miroslav Klose and Luca Toni as well as central defender Martin Demichelis, lacked vision in their game and Hoffenheim were hungrier in attack. The hosts should have taken the lead when Josip Simunic's 11th-minute header was palmed out of the goal by keeper Michael Rensing, with television replays showing the ball well over the line. Hoffenheim striker Vedad Ibisevic, injured halfway through last season and making his Bundesliga comeback after seven months out, then saw his header in the 19th minute sail just wide. Bayern struck six minutes later against the run of play when new signing Ivica Olic tapped in a Danijel Pranjic cross. Hoffenheim striker Chinedu Obasi got the deserved equaliser four minutes from the break when he fired in a low shot from the edge of the box after a well-executed counter attack.
