Depleted Tottenham touch down in Ukraine

Tottenham arrived in Ukraine on Wednesday without several senior members of their first team ahead of Thursday evening's UEFA Cup clash with Shakhtar Donestsk. Already without the ineligible Robbie Keane, Roman Pavlyuchenko and Vedran Corluka for the competition, Harry Redknapp has opted to leave Luka Modric, Carlo Cudicini, Wilson Palacios and Jonathan Woodgate at home, according to Shakhtar's official website. With skipper Ledley King, Jamie O'Hara, Aaron Lennon and Alan Hutton also unavailable through injury, youngsters including John Bostock, Ryan Mason and Dean Parrett may all be handed the opportunity to turn out for the senior side - having all impressed for the academy this term.
