Deportivo La Coruna coach Miguel Angel Lotina has declared his interest in signing out-of-favour Tottenham forward Giovani dos Santos.
The Mexican international has struggled to make an impact at White Hart Lane since his arrival from Barcelona in summer 2008, and is believed to be keen to secure first-team football ahead of the World Cup.
Lotina is a big admirer of the talented 20-year-old and, after a special ruling by the LFP, has 30 days to bring in an emergency signing to replace Angel Lafita, who joined Real Zaragoza.
"Giovani is the sort of player that the club needs at the moment," Lotina confirmed.
"It is a complicated deal but we hope we can reach an agreement with Tottenham."
Spurs aren’t thought to be keen to sell Dos Santos, who may yet have a bright future at the club, but could allow the starlet to leave on loan.comments
