Espanyol have backed coach Bartolome 'Tintin' Marquez despite a third consecutive league defeat on Sunday that saw them slip to 16th in the Primera Liga standings. "I guarantee he will continue. It's true the last few games haven't gone well but we're not thinking about replacing him," president Daniel Sanchez Llibre was quoted as saying by Spanish media following Espanyol's 3-0 defeat at Racing Santander. The president met club officials to discuss Espanyol's poor run in which they have one win from their last 10 league games.
