Ex-Inter striker Kallon signs for Shaanxi

BEIJING - Former Inter Milan and Sierra Leone striker Mohamed Kallon has joined Chinese Super League (CSL) club Shaanxi, the club has announced.

The 30-year-old forward, who also had spells at Monaco and Greek club AEK Athens, is the highest profile foreign signing for a top flight Chinese club for the upcoming season.

Shaanxi finished 12th in the CSL last season.

The new season starts on March 27, delayed for a week because of the chaos caused by the investigation into match-fixing in Chinese professional football.
