Turkish Super Lig side Fenerbahce have confirmed they are looking to strike a deal for Benfica striker Oscar Cardozo.
The Paraguayan has courted interest from a number of clubs during the close-season with Premier League sides Manchester City and Cardiff City both having been linked with his signature.
And via an official statement on the club's website, Fener revealed they are hoping to sign Cardozo or Spartak Moscow forward Emmanuel Emenike.
But the club also rubbished reports in the Turkish media that they were interested in Atletico Madrid playmaker Arda Turan.
"(In) some of today's newspapers such as Bugan, Fotomac and Takvim, there is news that we want to add Atletico Madrid's Arda Turan to our team. This is absolutely a lie," the statement read.
"Our club is making enquiries about transfers of Cardozo and Emenike, and we will conclude our transfer dealings with one of these two players."
Cardozo was part of a Benfica team that suffered a disappointing end to the season as they finished runners-up to Porto in Primeira Liga.
They also lost the finals of the UEFA Europa League and Taca de Portugal to Chelsea and Vitoria de Guimaraes respectively.
Emenike has had a terrific start to the Russian Premier League season. Spartak have won all three of their games thus far with the Nigerian contributing two goals.
