Five fans held after Bilbao-Anderlecht violence

MADRID - Four Belgians and a Spaniard were detained after Athletic Bilbao's Europa League last-32 first-leg match at home to Anderlecht was marred by crowd violence, local police said on Friday.

Visiting fans clashed with police before the game at the San Mames, which finished 1-1, and supporters confronted each other on the pitch after the final whistle, some wielding sticks.

Austria Vienna were fined 20,000 euros and ordered by UEFA to play two matches behind closed doors, one suspended for two years pending good behaviour, following incidents during their Europa League match at home to Athletic on December 3.
