Barcelona midfielder Alexander Hleb is set join Serie A champions Inter Milan, according to Sky Sport Italia. The Belarussian midfielder, who made 89 league appearances for Arsenal from 2005-08, has struggled to make an impression at the Camp Nou since his arrival last summer. And, having made just 19 league appearances in the Catalans' unprecendented treble-winning campaign, the 28-year-old recently told Russian daily Sport Express that he would be seeking a move away from Spain in January if the situation had not changed dramatically. "For now I'm still a Barca player," he said. "I'll try my best but if my situation doesn't improve then I will have to find another club." But, according to reports in Italy, Hleb could now be leaving the club earlier than planned, with Inter Milan president Inter president Massimo Moratti and Barcelona chief Joan Laporta believed to have begun negotiations over a possible deal. And the former Stuttgart man could be presented as a Nerazzuri player in a matter of days rather than weeks, with Jose Mourinho having also sealed a deal for Bayern Munich defender Lucio on Thursday.
