Ibrahimovic injured on Inter duty

Inter Milan forward Zlatan Ibrahimovic sustained a hand injury during Tuesday's friendly against Chelsea in the United States.   The Swede only featured for 30 minutes as Jose Mourinho suffered a 2-0 defeat to his old side, now managed by ex-AC Milan boss Carlo Ancelotti.

Ibrahimovic reportedly left the Rose Bowl, Pasadena, with his left hand heavily bandaged, and is now expected to undergo further tests when Inter arrive in Boston for the second leg of their pre-season tour of the USA.

The extent of the injury is currently unclear, although some reports fearing the worst suggested that ‘Ibra’ may have fractured his hand.

The defeat to Chelsea may have been the 27-year-old’s final appearance for Inter, with Barcelona in talks to sign the striker as part of a swap deal involving Cameroonian goal-getter Samuel Eto’o.
