Insua goes back to Boca

BUENOS AIRES - Former Borussia Moenchengladbach and Argentina midfielder Federico Insua has returned to Boca Juniors on loan from America of Mexico, the Argentine club said on Monday.

The experienced 29-year-old, who left Boca three years ago for Germany and has 10 caps, won two league titles and the Copa Sudamericana in his first spell with Boca.

Boca are also on the verge of signing Chile defensive midfielder Gary "Pitbull" Medel from Chilean club Universidad Catolica.

They are also hoping to transfer striker Rodrigo Palacio, a member of Argentina's 2006 World Cup squad, to Genoa. Palacio is in Italy now talking to the club.
