Morocco midfielders ruled out of qualifier

RABAT - Morocco midfielders Houssine Kharja and Karim El Ahmadi have been ruled out of the side's World Cup qualifier against Togo in Lome on Sunday

Both players were injured in club action at the weekend and had been replaced by Issam Raki of Royal Armed Forces and Wydad Casablanca's Mohamed Berrabeh, officials said on Wednesday.

El Ahmadi (pictured), who plays for Dutch cub Feyenoord, scored in Morocco's last match, a 1-1 draw with Congo in a friendly international last month.

Morocco need a victory in Lome to keep alive their hopes of reaching the 2010 World Cup finals. They are third in Africa's final round Group A on two points after three matches, four behind leaders Gabon, who have played a game less.
