Nine-man Rangers lift League Cup

Kenny Miller headed a late winner for Rangers who won the Scottish League Cup on Sunday despite having two men sent off in a 1-0 victory against St Mirren at Hampden Park.

The Scottish Premier League leaders had Kevin Thomson dismissed for a dangerous tackle on 53 minutes before Danny Wilson followed his team-mate down the tunnel for a professional foul with 19 minutes of normal time remaining.

Scotland striker Miller headed a dramatic winner with a powerful header in the 84th minute to hand Rangers a record 26th League Cup trophy.

Rangers, who lead the SPL by 10 points from rivals Celtic, remain on course for a domestic treble with a Scottish Cup quarter-final replay against Dundee United to come on Wednesday.
