PARIS - Brief news from Ligue 1 before Wednesday's matches as Bordeaux meet Montpellier, Lyon host Boulogne and Marseille travel to Lorient: Serbia international Nenad Dzodic has recovered from a back injury and returns to the centre of Montpellier defence to help the surprise Ligue 1 package, who are in second place, against champions and leaders Girondins Bordeaux. Bordeaux coach Laurent Blanc will again have to rely on 22-year-old central defender Lamine Sane for the tricky game at Montpellier because Michael Ciani has not recovered from a back injury.
Blanc gave his first start of the season to Sane 15 minutes before kickoff in Sunday's game at Olympique Lyon after Ciani injured himself during the warm-up. Bordeaux won the game 1-0. Olympique Lyon will be without suspended Brazilian central defender Cris when they host Boulogne in a game which became a must-win after they slipped to ninth place, eight points adrift of leaders Bordeaux.
Lyon's coach Claude Puel also has a long injury list with striker Sidney Govou, defenders Francois Clerc and Cleber Anderson and midfielders Jeremy Toulalan and Mathieu Bodmer all ruled out. Second-from-bottom Boulogne will welcome back midfielder Alexandre Cuvillier, who has recovered from a thigh injury, and striker Mame Ndiaye, back from suspension, for the trip to Lyon. Marseille coach Didier Deschamps will have to field a new pair of strikers at Lorient as Mamadou Niang has been ruled out with a shoulder injury and Brandao is suspended.
Marseille, in chase of the top three, will probably have to rely on Bakari Kone and Spaniard Fernando Morientes who has been struggling since his arrival from Valencia last summer.
