MADRID - Brief reports of matches played in the Primera Liga on Sunday: DEPORTIVO CORUNA 4 RECREATIVO HUELVA 1 Depor's Alberto Lopo stuck out a leg to divert Ze Castro's miscued shot inside the post after nine minutes and Sergio converted a penalty to double the lead in the 20th. Recre pulled one back with an Adrian Colunga penalty three minutes later but an excellent header from Rodolfo Bodipo restored Depor's two-goal lead just before the break. Brazilian defender Filipe broke away to add the fourth at the end. NUMANCIA 4 REAL VALLADOLID 3 Jose Barkero volleyed Numancia in front on a counter-attack early on but Valladolid levelled through Swedish striker Henok Goitom in the 34th minute. Valladolid were on course for their fifth win in six when Angel Vivar Dorado and Goitom made it 3-1 in the second half before Numancia struck back. Javier del Pino pulled one back in the 79th minute, Carlos Aranda headed the equaliser in the 88th and in time added on Gorka Brit headed the winner at a free kick. OSASUNA 5 GETAFE 2 Osasuna swarmed all over Getafe and Czech Republic midfielder Jaroslav Plasil scored at the far post in the seventh minute. Juanfran finished off a swift break in the 34th and Uruguayan Walter Pandiani and Iranian Javad Nekounam added two more before the break. Getafe's Roberto Soldado pulled one back in the 66th and a second at the end, either side of a tap-in from Osasuna's Hector Font. It was Osasuna's second win of the season only. RACING SANTANDER 1 MALAGA 1 Malaga broke the deadlock with a sweeping passing move that ended with French striker Nabil Baha volleying a goal in the 38th minute. Juan Valera levelled for Racing with a header from a corner in the 67th and Malaga's Duda hit the post near the end. REAL BETIS 0 ATHLETIC BILBAO 1 Bilbao earned their first away win of the season when Javi Martinez was given a free header just before the break. Betis battled away but have now lost three of their last four matches. REAL MALLORCA 0 SEVILLA 0 Sevilla failed to lift themselves from their midweek exit from the UEFA Cup putting in a poor display against Mallorca, who ended a run of three straight defeats with this draw. SPORTING GIJON 1 ALMERIA 0 Sporting's Francisco Maldonado headed the game's only goal after 28 minutes. The result sparked the sacking of Almeria boss Gonzalo Arconada whose side have only one win from their last 11 matches. VILLARREAL 1 BARCELONA 2 Giuseppe Rossi's pass sent Cani through to put Villarreal ahead after 48 minutes but Barca struck back when Mali midfielder Seydou Keita bravely beat goalkeeper Diego Lopez to the ball to head in Daniel Alves's cross. A frenetic game was decided when Xavi crossed for France striker Thierry Henry to volley the winner in the 66th, and Barca hung on despite having defender Gerard Pique sent off with 15 minutes to go. Played Saturday: ESPANYOL 2 ATLETICO MADRID 3 Argentina midfielder Maxi Rodriguez opened the scoring for Atletico from Sergio Aguero's cross after seven minutes but Espanyol pressed hard and were rewarded with an equaliser from Sergio Sanchez in the 58th. Aguero made it 2-1 with an individual effort in the 81st and Maxi increased the advantage against his former club with his second in the 91st, but there was time left for Valdo to pull one back for the home side in a nervy finish. REAL MADRID 1 VALENCIA 0 Juande Ramos's first league win as Real coach was secured when Real winger Arjen Robben set up Argentine Gonzalo Higuain to score after only three minutes. Real hit the woodwork twice and squandered a number of other chances, particularly after Valencia had defender Carlos Marchena sent off in the 67th minute. Real goalkeeper Iker Casillas made a string of outstanding saves to deny Valencia.
