COIMBRA - Portugal coach Carlos Queiroz said on Tuesday that World Cup opponents Ivory Coast were Africa's best team.
"The Ivory Coast is considered to be the team from Africa most likely to get a great result at the World Cup and from all the African teams it is, no doubt, the best one," Queiroz told a news conference.
"They have players, almost all of them, who start for top European teams every week."
Queiroz, however, is confident his side can beat the Africans in their World Cup Group G opener in Port Elizabeth on June 15. "We know we can beat the Ivory Coast," he said.
