Rae and Dorrans called up for Dutch clash

Scotland have called up midfielders Gavin Rae and Graham Dorrans for Wednesday's crucial World Cup Group Nine qualifier against Netherlands.

Scotland assistant coach Terry Butcher told a news conference on Monday that Cardiff City's Rae would replace suspended forward James McFadden while West Bromwich Albion's Dorrans will come in for injured full-back Callum Davidson.

If Scotland avoid defeat at home to the Dutch, who have already qualified for next year's finals, they will finish second and could enter the playoffs as one of eight runners-up.
