Real deny Ronaldo swine flu talk

Real Madrid have denied reports that £80 million signing Cristiano Ronaldo has contracted swine flu. News emerged on Tuesday that the former Manchester United forward has been suffering from flu-like symptoms following the Madridistas' pre-season tour of the United States. As a result, the Portuguese winger has been ruled out of the international friendly with Liechtenstein on Wednesday. But despite suggestions that Ronaldo could have caught swine flu - and spread the virus while playing for Real against DC United - Real have insisted that their star simply has normal flu and will be back to full fitness in a matter of days. "Cristiano Ronaldo returned from Washington DC with the flu and has been told to rest at home and was prescribed medication," a statement read. NEWS: Ronaldo struck down with flu
