Robinho's representatives are demanding clarification from Pele, who has allegedly claimed that the Manchester City star used drugs. The former Real Madrid man has denied allegations that he dabbled with drugs, which were allegedly recorded without Pele's knowledge at a private function in Brazil, before being broadcast on radio. And now Robinho's team are demanding that Pele release an official statement over the incident clarifying his alleged comments, and have threatened legal action if he fails to comply. "A formal retraction from Pele will be requested, if what he said was not misinterpreted by the media that published it," Robinho's representatives told his official website. "And if Pele does not come forward, he will have to deal with his very unfortunate comment in court. "Robinho is upset and disappointed at Pele, who seems to have forgotten the great idol he was and that it appears Pele must be reading sensationalist medias, to come up with such a wrongful statement." While Robinho's agent, Juan Figer, has revealed that the Man City starlet wants to speak with Pele personally to clear up the controversy. "What Pele said doesn't have sense at all," he said. "We are waiting to speak with Pele to make clear what he said because we are sure that there is a misunderstanding. "Robinho never used drugs."
