Seitaridis set for Panathinaikos return

ATHENS - Panathinaikos have confirmed the return of former defender Giourkas Seitaridis.

The 28-year-old full-back, who has been without a club since he was released by Atletico Madrid in May, completed his switch late on Thursday afternoon's deadline day for the transfers of free agents, signing a four-year contract.

Having graduated from Panathinaikos' renowned youth academy, Seitaridis went on to establish himself as a regular international and was part of Otto Rehhagel's Euro 2004-winning squad.

After the Euro 2004 triumph, he had spells at Porto, Dynamo Moscow and Atletico.
