Silva flattered by English interest

Valencia midfielder David Silva says he is flattered by reports tipping him to move to the Premier League.

The 23-year-old was continually linked with a move away from Los Che over the summer, with Barcelona, Real Madrid, Liverpool, Chelsea, Manchester United and Juventus all predicted to pounce for the playmaker, who has made 90 league outings for Valencia.

The Spanish international recently admitted that an English club had attempted to secure his services during the close-season, but were left disappointed as he was happy to remain in Spain.

And Silva says he is flattered by the speculation.

“If there is interest, then it must mean I am doing things right,” he said in AS.

“I thank them, but I am only thinking day-to-day about Valencia.”
