ROME - AS Roma striker Francesco Totti has been included in the squad for Wednesday's Champions League League last 16 second leg clash at home to Arsenal despite a knee problem.
The captain missed Saturday's 1-1 Serie A draw with Udinese because of the injury and coach Luciano Spalletti said he was not a definite starter against the English side, who lead 1-0 from the first leg.
"We need to consider not only his fitness but the situation with the team," Spalletti told a news conference on Tuesday.
"I don't want to risk early substitutions. It is a game which could go to extra-time."
Midfielder David Pizarro is also in the squad despite suffering a knock on Saturday. Cicinho, Marco Cassetti and Simone Perrotta had already been ruled out with injury while Daniele De Rossi is suspended.
"I have faith in the lads, who in matches at this level have always given the responses I expected," Spalletti added.
