SYDNEY - Australia coach Pim Verbeek expects his largely domestic-league based team to secure the point needed at home to Indonesia next month to guarantee qualification for the 2011 Asian Cup.
Verbeek named a 25-man squad on Wednesday, handing first call-ups to Perth striker Daniel McBreen and Adelaide duo Mathew Leckie and Michael Marrone for the match in Brisbane against bottom-placed Indonesia, who are out of qualifying contention.
"There's no reason to be nervous," Verbeek told reporters on Wednesday.
"I'm confident we can do a job. This selection has to work very hard."
With two places up for grabs, Australia and Kuwait head Group B on eight points from five games ahead of the final qualifiers on March 3.
Oman, on seven points, must beat Kuwait to qualify for the finals in Qatar.comments
