FFT's Five Finds: Cheetahs are Foxes in disguises

It's that time of the week as FourFourTwo looks back over the last few days of action in Southeast Asia.

Hougang United are Singapore's answer to Leicester City

With Leicester the talk of the football world at the moment, it may be slightly predictable to look for other examples of usual strugglers flipping the beautiful game on its head to make it look even more attractive.

But there is one candidate that stands out in Southeast Asia and it has to be Hougang United.

These Cheetahs are the Foxes of the Lion City.

United finished bottom of the S-League just a few short months ago but right now, after five games of the new season, there they are at the summit.

Hougang had not defeated Balestier Khalsa since 2011 but that mini-jinx was ended on Saturday thanks to an 82nd-minute strike from Stipe Plazibat.

There is still a long way to go and it is telling that Tampines Rovers inflicted a 4-1 defeat. Not that one was needed but it was a reminder that the team still has some way to go.

For now though, fans should just enjoy the ride.
