Madhu's long throw strikes again
We’ve seen it happen, opponents should have seen it coming – but it seems like there’s no stopping the Madhu Mohana long throw.
A little over two weeks ago, the 24-year-old’s unerring delivery led to Safuwan Baharudin rising highest to nod home the LionsXII’s equaliser in the 3-2 home win against Terengganu FA.
Backtrack all the way to June when Singapore thrashed Cambodia 4-0 in Phnom Penh, once again it was Madhu’s throw which Safuwan flicked towards Fazrul Nawaz to score the fourth and final goal.
It was the same tactic that worked again this time round with Faris Ramli converting clinically after Safuwan had flicked on the teasing ball in from Singapore’s ‘Rory Delap’.
