Dollah Salleh has stepped down as Harimau Malaya coach after their 10-0 loss to the United Arab Emirates.
Dollah, who was appointed to the role in June last year, made the announcement as soon as the team landed in Malaysia on Friday.
Despite guiding the national team to the 2014 AFF Suzuki Cup final which they narrowly lost to Thailand, the former Malaysia striker had come under pressure to step down after failing to record a win in 2015.
The recent loss to the United Arab Emirates - the biggest in the Harimau Malaya's history - left them bottom of their 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifying group with just one point from three matches.
No details were provided on who will take charge of next Tuesday's match against Saudi Arabia.
