Dortmund to play JDT

Johor Darul Ta'zim (JDT) have announced a partnership with Bundesliga giants Borussia Dortmund.

As part of the agreement, Dortmund's first team will visit Malaysia in July 2015 and take on the defending Malaysia Super League champions at the Tan Sri Dato Haji Hassan Yunos Stadium in Johor Bahru.

"HRH Brigadier General Tunku Ismail Ibni Sultan Ibrahim, the Crown Prince of Johor and President of Johor Football Assocation, is pleased to announce that a partnership has been confirmed between JDT and German giants Borussia Dortmund," an official statement reads.

"The deal will not only see both sides sharing coaching and training information and exchanging players in the future but also help in developing youth football in Johor.

"And in conjunction with the groundbreaking partnership, Dortmund will be coming to Johor for the first time next July to play a friendly match against JDT."

Dortmund legend Lars Ricken previously revealed that the German club had been considering playing a friendly match in Malaysia.
