National midfielder Gary Steven Robbat is now free to return to the M-League after the Football Association of Malaysia (FAM) has reduced the length of his suspension.
Gary, who was punished for signing contracts with both Pahang and Johor Darul Ta'zim (JDT), saw his suspension ended with immediate effect following a meeting by the FAM's Appeal Committee in Kelana Jaya today.
"Gary Steven Robbat's punishment, originally scheduled to end on April 16, 2015, has been shortened to April 2 with immediate effect," an official statement reads.
"A fine of RM50,000 initially imposed on him has been reduced to RM20,000 as well.
"He is permitted to train [and join] any team with immediate effect."
With that, the Malaysia midfielder should be re-signing for the Southern Tigers, who have been keeping him under their wings since he was suspended last January, anytime soon.
Throughout his suspension, he trained with Borussia Dortmund's second team in Germany thanks to the Bundesliga giants' partnership with the 2014 Malaysian Super League champions.
