Welcome to FourFourTwo, your one-stop hub for all things relating to Tiger Street Football in 2014.
Just like Xavi needs Iniesta, football is all about partnerships and FFT have partnered up with Tiger Beer to bring you exclusive coverage of one of the hottest tournaments of the year.
The fourth edition of Tiger Street Football promises plenty of rule-changing excitement as former Barcelona, Chelsea and Porto playmaker Deco travels to three exotic locations in Asia in a bid to uncage football from its traditional shackles and breath new life into the game.
True to name and in a dramatic turnaround from previous tournaments, the matches are now literally uncaged, the pitches increased in size to encourage more expansive play.
With fans across Asia encouraged to submit rule changes at www.uncagefootball.com to highlight the creativity, agility and instinct from the players, we can expect some exhilarating, fast-paced football as Deco implements selected new rules in Phnom Penh, Cambodia (9 August), Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia (23 August) and Singapore (6 September).
While the region's eight best street football teams battle it out for the ultimate cash prize of USD40,000, Deco will also be busy choosing six players who best adapt to the new fan rules to form a star selection to take on him and his friends in a one-off exhibition game during the Singapore leg!
FourFourTwo will be with you each step of the way, providing news updates and exclusive feature content as the tournament progresses and we gear up for the final showdown in Singapore.
