LionsXII have been drawn in an entertaining group for the 2015 Malaysia Cup, joining Terengganu, Kedah and Johor Darul Ta'zim (JDT) II in Group A.
Thursday's draw means former LionsXII stalwarts and current JDT II representatives Shahril Ishak and Baihakki Khaizan will once again come up against their old team.
The veteran Singapore internationals won't have good memories of the last time the two teams met, however, as JDT II were bundled out in the Malaysia FA Cup quarter-finals over two legs.
Baihakki was sent off in the first leg at Jalan Besar Stadium as LionsXII won the opening game 2-0 and eventually the tie 4-0 on aggregate.
Terengganu will also be eager to avenge their Malaysia FA Cup semi-final loss to the Singaporeans, who eventually went on to clinch the title, beating Kelantan in the decider.
The Turtles have a slight advantage in terms of this season's head-to-head record, having won two out of four encounters against LionsXII and drawing another.
Kedah are the last but not least of LionsXII's opponents in Group A, with the Malaysian Premier League champions hoping to spring a surprise or two on their Super League opponents.
Malaysia Super League (MSL) champions Johor Darul Ta'zim will match up against Perak, Sarawak and recently-relegated ATM in a tricky looking Group B, while Malaysia Cup holders and MSL runners-up Pahang will defend their title in Group D alongside PDRM, Penang and PKNS.
In Group C, Selangor, Felda United, Kelantan and T-Team round out the 16-team competition.
