Malaysian FA Cup draw: LionsXII draw Melayu Kedah, Pahang face JDT

Fandi Ahmad's men take on the FAM League side in the second round while the holders prepare for a tough opener against the MSL champions.

The Lions have arguably the easiest route to the final, as they will not face a top division side until the semi-finals, at least.

It will be an opportunity for Fandi's side to make up for their early exit in the 2014 edition.

Pahang will begin their Malaysian FA Cup defence against Malaysian Super League champions Johor Darul Ta'zim (JDT).

Zainal Hassan's troops ended an eight-year wait to win the FA Cup after edging Felda United 2-1 in the final last season.

Their counterparts, JDT, last appeared in a FA Cup final in 2013 when they were defeated by Kelantan.

Other mouth-watering all-Super League ties include Sarawak taking on 2013 winners Kelantan.

Felda United meet Selangor again, after thrashing the Red Giants in last term's competition.

The tournament will kick off with Harimau Muda C and DRB-HiCOM meeting Kuala Lumpur and PKNS respectively in the first round.
