Malaysia U23 midfielder Nazmi Faiz Mansor will serve a six-match ban for spitting at Timor Leste's Filipe Oliveira.
The Selangor midfielder was found guilty of spitting at an opponent by the AFC Disciplinary Committee and will serve a six-match ban with immediate effect.
The incident took place during during Saturday's Group B SEA Games opening match against Timor Leste at Bishan Stadium in Singapore.
He was caught on camera spitting at Filipe Oliveira after he was clattered into by the Timor Leste player.
Nazmi's ban will rule him out for almost the rest of the tournament, should Malaysia make it out of the group stage.
Head coach Ong Kim Swee previously hit out at his young playmaker for failing to control his temper during the match.
