Japanese J1 League outfit Matsumoto Yamaga announced on Thursday that they will be taking on three players from Singapore’s National Football Academy.
Three Under-14 youngsters selected by the Football Association of Singapore will join up with the club, which plays in the Japanese top-flight, in Nagano Prefecture from the 22nd to the 28th of June.
The opportunity will serve as a cultural exchange programme, and grant the three participants an opportunity to train with Yamaga’s youth academy and spend nights in the team dormitory.
Singapore’s representatives have been selected to experience life as a J.League player based on their technical abilities as well as their professionalism.
Their visit will conclude with a trip to Yamaga’s home ground, Matsumotodaira Park Stadium Alwin, to experience a J.League match from the stands.
