Argentine striker Patricio Rodriguez was officially presented to the Johor Darul Ta'zim (JDT) fans at the Larkin Stadium on Friday.
More commonly known as Patito Rodriguez, the new signing was welcomed by a 500-strong crowd at the stadium after signing on the dotted line in a press conference.
He was recruited on a season-long loan from Brazilian side Santos reportedly with an option for a permanent deal.
A direct replacement for Jorge Pereyra Diaz, he inherited the squad number of the Argentine winger, who will be leaving the club for Brazil next month.
Prior to his arrival in Malaysia, the Brazilian voiced his enthusiasm to be joining the Southern Tigers.
"I am very happy to be a new player of Johor Darul Ta'zim and I will give my best to help the team," he said.
Rodriguez was JDT's first major signing of the mid-season transfer window, and at least one more signing, who will most likely replace Luciano Figueroa, is expected to follow in the next few days.
