Singapore World Cup qualifier to be shown live

Great news for football fans, who can now catch this week's crunch World Cup qualifier between Singapore and Syria live on the Eleven Sports Network (Singtel TV Channel 109) and Mediacorp's OKTO.

Having picked up four points in their last two World Cup 2018 qualifying matches, including a memorable 0-0 draw away to Japan in June, Singapore now sit at the top of their group.

The Lions have travelled to Muscat, Oman where they will face the Qasioun Eagles in a match that will likely result in the winner taking early control of Group E.

Syria are currently second on three points, having only played one match so far, ahead of Afghanistan (three points, two games), Japan (one point, one game) and Cambodia (zero points, two games).

These fixtures also double as qualification matches for the Asian Cup 2019, which will be held in the United Arab Emirates, so there is plenty on the line.

Singapore supporters will now be able to tune in to either TV channel at 11.55pm on Thursday 3 September (tomorrow night) to watch their team take another step on the road to Russia 2018.

For those who treasure their beauty sleep or can't watch the live telecast, Eleven will be showing repeat of the match on Friday at 10am and 7.30pm local time, as well as a special highlights show at 9.30pm.

Singtel TV suscribers will also be able to catch the all the action live on Eleven via the Singtel TV GO app.
