Soccer Sixes returns to Singapore Cricket Club

The Singapore Cricket Club International Soccer Sixes returns to the hallowed Padang turf for its eight consecutive year this weekend.

Nestled in the shadows of Singapore's breathtaking city skyline on the best grass surface in Singapore, the aim of this competition is to highlight the many talents of Asian football, and its promising young players; all within the format of six a side football.

This tournament has evolved over the previous years and is now regarded as one of the marquee sporting events of the Singapore Cricket Club as it continues in its aim to raise the profile and standards of Asian football, aided by the introduction of professional teams from around the globe.

Teams such as Home Utd will be gracing the Open category whilst ex-Singapore Internationals such as Abbas Saad, Aide Iskandar, Sivakumar and stars such Benoit Croissant and PJ Roberts will all be appearing in the masters category.

Games begin at 9am on Saturday with the finals to be played on Sunday at 5pm.  It's free to attend so get down and support this great event. To find out more visit the web site by clicking here.
