The Singaporean duo might find themselves out of a club at the end of the season after the Southern Tigers owner’s latest statement…
The revelation was made in a statement issued on JDT’s Facebook page, where the crown prince was addressing criticisms directed at the club.
JDT II had earlier recalled three players from the Malaysia national team and informed the Football Association of Malaysia they will only release their players four days prior to an international match, as per FIFA requirements.
However, the Southern Tigers allowed Baihakki and Shahril to join Singapore’s training camp and it was then that TMJ said he allowed the duo to do so as “they will not be a part of our project for next year”.
“I have ordered the players to come back because these young players are our club's assets. We pay their salaries, and we will do whatever it takes to safeguard our assets and keep our best interest at heart,” TMJ said.
“Regarding the Singaporean players, I allowed our two senior players to report early because they are our senior players and they will not be a part of our project for next year.
“I thank them for their dedication and professionalism. “
