• Nürnberg have not lost any of their last four Bundesliga games against Bremen (W2, D2).
  • Bremen have won only two of their last 13 Bundesliga home games (D4, L7). Nürnberg have only won two of their last 18 Bundesliga away games (D7, L9).
  • For the fourth time in the history of the Bundesliga, FCN are without a win in their first six games. In the 1981/82 season (13th-placed finish), the 1986/87 season (9th) and the 2005/06 season (8th), they avoided relegation.
  • None of the last 56 Bundesliga games between these two sides has ended goalless; the longest run of this kind in the Bundesliga. Bremen's last goalless draw in the top flight was over 20 months ago (in Kaiserslautern on January 21st 2012).
  • Only Braunschweig (3) have scored fewer goals than Bremen (5) and Nürnberg (6). This is no surprise as only Freiburg (49) have had fewer shots on goal than FCN (54) and Werder (62).
  • Nürnberg have conceded at least one goal in their last 14 Bundesliga games. The last time they did this was between September 2010 and January 2011 (15-game run). The last time Nürnberg kept a clean sheet was in mid-March in a 3-0 win against Schalke.
  • 16 of FCN's last 18 Bundesliga goals have come after the break. Seven of the nine goals that Nürnberg have conceded this season have also come in the second half.
  • Only Bayern (4) have more clean sheets that Werder this season (3). Bremen managed only three clean sheets during the whole of last season.
  • No other Bundesliga team this term has hit the woodwork as often as Nürnberg (5 times).
  • Bremen's Nils Petersen is set to make his 50th Bundesliga appearance, as are his teammates Aleksandar Ignjovski and Zlatko Junuzovic. Franco Di Santo is still suspended as he serves the second game of this three-match ban.
