• FC Bayern are undefeated in their last 32 Bundesliga games (W27, D5). Only Hamburger SV (36 games from January 1982 until January 1983) have gone on a longer undefeated streak in the Bundesliga.
  • Bayern are the last Bundesliga side to have won in Leverkusen. On matchday 26 last season, they recorded a 2-1 victory in the BayArena. Since then, Leverkusen have secured one draw and most recently, seven wins in a row.
  • With 18 points, Bayer Leverkusen are the best third-ranked team ever in Bundesliga history after seven matchdays.
  • Bayern won last year’s league title having never relinquished the top spot in the standings. This season they are yet to feature in first place, although they are level on points with current table toppers Borussia Dortmund.
  • Leverkusen and Bayern are the only teams in the league yet to concede a header.
  • Bayer 04 have never experienced a more successful start to a Bundesliga campaign than this season. It’s the first time they have collected 18 points from the opening seven matches.
  • Emre Can joined Bayer 04 Leverkusen this summer after four years of service at FC Bayern. At Leverkusen, he has already made four Bundesliga appearances; the same amount as for Bayern.
  • Stefan Kießling or Sidney Sam have been involved in 14 of Leverkusen’s 17 goals this season (82%).
  • Sidney Sam is the current Bundesliga top points-scorer with five goals and four assists. He also leads the assist charts together with Stuttgart’s Alexandru Maxim.
