• Hertha Berlin and FC Augsburg have met just twice before in the Bundesliga – in the 2011/12 season. The game in Berlin ended 2-2, while FCA won 3-0 at home.
  • They also met in the 2010/11 campaign in the second division. There was a 1-1 draw in Augsburg, before Hertha won 2-1 at home in the second half of the season. There has yet to be an away win in the four competitive meetings between the two sides.
  • After four wins in their first five home games (1 defeat), Berlin have lost their last two home fixtures without scoring a goal (1-0 to Leverkusen, 2-0 to Schalke). Hertha have never lost three top-flight home games in a row without scoring.
  • FCA have lost their last four Bundesliga away games and would equal their club record (April-August 2013) with another defeat. Each of those four matches has seen Augsburg concede at least twice – also a club record in the top flight.
  • Augsburg’s current tally of 16 points is already more than they picked up in the whole of the first half of each of their two previous Bundesliga campaigns.
  • Both teams have already conceded 10 goals from set-pieces, only Hoffenheim have conceded more (13). Hertha have conceded the largest share of their goals from set-pieces (59%). Six of the last seven goals that FCA have conceded have come from dead-ball situations.
  • FC Augsburg have dropped 14 points from winning positions (D1 L4) – a league-high.
  • Levan Kobiashvili could make his 50th Bundesliga appearance for Hertha. He has played a total of 338 games in Germany’s top flight, with Claudio Pizarro (355) the only foreign player to have made more Bundesliga appearances than him.
  • Hertha manager Jos Luhukay was promoted to the Bundesliga with FC Augsburg in 2011. Current Berlin players Marcel Ndjeng and Hajime Hosogai were also in that FCA side that won promotion.
